Thanks, I know it happens. Don’t think he’s dead. I’m back at it and mad at the deer again. I’ve had an outstanding season so far so I’m not complaining. He is on my list along w another deer from last year. I will pull cards in a few days to see if he shows up.

Fletch how big is this bear in weight?

Got back in the stand. Seen 11 this morning w one of them being a spike. Got in late, went to a friends place to shoot my rifle. It was 4” low and 3” right. Got in the stand later than I shot the buck yesterday. I’m out here, that’s all that counts.

Dj coming in this evening so I might have someone to hunt with. Fish fry tonight, crappie and speckled trout.

There is some chasing. I never see it but maybe young bucks checking the does. But yeah it’s kicking off.

Fletch how big is this bear in weight?

I'm gonna guess at around 175-250 lbs... But that is a hard pic to judge... Great when they are pictured next to something to compare....Doesn't show alot of girth and can't tell how long he is... I'd bet the farm that he is a boar....

Well six of us hunted the second split duck opener w low expectations. Problem is we set the expectations TOO high. We killed two wood ducks. Should’ve hunted the green trees for wood ducks. So rain was coming at 2pm so I got the crew together to go brush our blind just in case a couple ducks get lost and come to the pond.

So I’m at the camp, it’s raining good and get a cell pic.

Just a two year old but nice to see. Oh yeah also threw some groceries out so they can sleep in the rain w sumpin in their belly.

Zero on wood ducks so I drove to the property and walked in to hunt the creek stand not far from the truck. Walked up and the strap at the top of the ladder was chewed off walked in another 700 yards and got in hunters stand. Just 8:40 am here, heavy overcast and nnw wind at 7mph.

Elk was killed on private about 8 miles away w rifle October-November some time. 7x8

Neighbor shot a good one. Hunter bringing pearl to track at 11:30. 2 bucks at djs stand at 9:30. Goose egg for me so far.

Me and HB are back in the stand. Hb at djs stand snd I’m in middle stand. Rut is on need ole girl to bring one out.

I forgot, at 10 this morning a nice 3 yr old 10 pt crossed by me. He got a pass.

Thanks... It's actually warmed up a tad here my thermometer said 30 degrees at 6:30... The other morning it said 1 degree... No way Im going out to climb a tree and sit on a metal seat in a baby gorilla stand... Those days are long gone... Years ago I did an all day sit and went to take a drink and water was frozen...
