Lol, just provoking thought. I think it’s possible to kill the genes out of an area. It’s what we do as hunters...try and get the most perfect specimen and kill him in his prime. Then we repeat that process over and over. No one wants to kill that 110” 10 point that’s 5.5 years old when they have a 160” 4.5 year old walking around. It’s just not how we work.
What I think is the big hypocrisy in most of the hunting video business is when you hear them say "it's not about the antlers, it's the age, we want to kill a 5.5 or older buck." Then when the 5.5 steps out with a few tines busted off, it's "probably won't shoot him since he's busted up." Well, he's still a mature buck, so what's the issue?
