I am looking forward to finding more info about this trip! Seems like it’ll be a good time! Busch lattes, good people and archery range. Have to ask though, is it kid friendly? May bring the boys along for the ride
My boys were raised around it. They are now 19 and 20 and seem pretty normal to me. But, they heard things they probably shouldn't have. LOL!

I remember one time I was a bit drunk and mentioned something about banging my wife (I'm sure I mentioned some explicit details as well). My boys looked at me like, "ohhhhkaayyyy". I forgot they were there.

Obviously Mingo is a perfect area for accommodating all of our interests, but I'm okay with Logan also. I would like to see us get back into more participation with a 3D bow shoot. I miss those adventurous and often times foolish, arrow-sacrificing "custom" shoots of our early days.

I wish there was a way around the insurance requirements. I don't understand why we can't just draft a blanket waiver for participants to ensure no property owners are held liable in the event something tragic happens.

It's my understanding that it's not a liability issue but rather blanket property protection.

Maybe I’ll leave them at home this year and see how it goes and think about bringing them next year

Paint creek in May is a very family friendly event centered around kids and bringing the family.
Strouds in October is centered around hunting deer and squirrels by day and hunting beer in the cooler at night (deer camp)
The summer shoot is a little more uneventful. While there is a rifle range, trap shoot, and other items, none of them usually take place before the hangover subside. A change of venue and subsequent loss of amenities has transitioned this more to a sit around, drink, and BS, event.

At every event expect friendly people, a white mans fire, PLENTY to eat, and laughter until your face and guts hurt.

Having never been to mingo I can’t comment on that. However, I have enjoyed Logan the last couple years. The more secluded spot we had the first year was certainly preferable to where we were this past summer but, it sufficed. Of course, I’m not overly picky when it comes to where I prefer to drink beer, play children’s yard games, over eat, and enjoy the company of some of the finest BSers the state has to offer. Hell, I hang out at Giles house 😆
