Deer & Turkey Expo or Open Season Sportsman's Expo postponed AGAIN!!!

I'm so sick of this crap! If you want a damn vaccine, go to Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid.

Open Season Sportsman's Expo

Due to the usage of the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus as a COVID vaccination site, the Open Season Sportsman’s Expo, originally scheduled for March 19-21, has been relocated to the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus. New dates for the Expo are set for July 30-August 1, 2021.
The Ohio Open Season Sportsman’s Expo will spotlight new products and learning experiences for hunting, fishing and outdoor enthusiasts. The Expo will feature everything from bow trials and archery trick shooting, to the always-popular trophy deer contest and much more.
PLEASE NOTE:
Tickets purchased for the March dates will be automatically refunded by March 9th. Tickets for the new dates will go on sale in early May.
Exhibitors with questions can contact the Open Season Sportsman’s Expo Sales team at: sales@openseasonsportsmansexpo.com.

This is much more convenient for me, seeing as how I work nearby. Not sure they have the necessary space for everything...will be interesting seeing all the office workers who walk the CC every day enjoy nonstop hail calls and slates.

Ever been to The Arnold? They have the space. Slates beat the hell out of the toxic aroma of sweaty ‘roiders and protein farts 😅

Makes sense. Take an event that would get tons more people with cabin fever to attend in March just to get out of the house....and move it to July when everyone is vacationing outdoors and out of town.

Right. I don’t see why they couldn’t have just switched venues and kept the dates unless the CC is already booked. The Expo Center would fit inside the CC 3x over so it isn’t a lack of space.

The timing of the event is horrible. As Chad pointed out. On the flip side, probably going to be a lot easier to navigate through the isles. Vendors are going to take a hit on this. I’d really be surprised if it is well attended by vendors or potential buyers.

I think the CC is still being used as a makeshift courthouse. Not much going on over there at all.

I don't care when or where the expo is. I'm not interested in going to it. Stinky Amish. 22yr old wannabe youtube stars. Not many deals. Add in Covid and I do not care to be around that many people in such tight quarters anymore.
Phil, you're right, not many deals. I used to love going to the Expo every year, I went with my neighbor buddy who doesn't even hunt. But going to the Expo kind of marked the beginning of Spring for us. But not going is not going to be a big deal

The last time I went was to help you. I don't know how long ago that was. Maybe 7 years. I don't miss it.

I dont go for the deals or the Amish. I go because I like to window shop and see what all is new. Plus I get to look at some dead deer. Watching the archery shoot and the retrievers work was fun. And every now and then, the seminar speakers were good.

I'm not scared of covid and am not going to lose any sleep over it either way.

The challege downtown will be parking. Some of those garages just won't fit a truck unless its squatted like @giles likes em. ;)
