Got out at daybreak today and looked till about 11.
Had a good morning found #8 thru #14 and a deadhead.
They are really dropping now but did see 3 bucks still holding both sides.View attachment 122705

Didn't cover as much ground as all of you but did walk some public land on Satuday. Had my 3, almost 4 yr old with me. We didn't find any but didn't get into the thick stuff either. I was proud of him, he did almost 2 miles. It was an awesome time with him. He kept saying his foot was wet; I told him it wasn't possible, suck it up. And he did. Loved climbing on the logs and jumping off of them with a "Oh, YEA!" Macho Man Randy Savage type shit. Low and behold, we get back to the truck and he pulls his boot off. Soaked. Asshole dad of the weekend.

The woods
Many in my area drop after greenup which sucks bigtime. Plus I try to stay away to not blow the birds out of someone’s setup but my yard work is usually calling my name by then anyway! Lol

Theres so much Honeysuckle in the woods around here once they bud out its pretty much over unless you just happen to step on one. They seem to bud earlier and antlers drop later every year.
