One year early 90s it was 3rd week of April. Went with my uncle in his 18 foot lund. Anchored up in front of Schroeders near the east end of bluegrass Island. Temps got up to mid 80s that day and the water temp spiked. Those walleyes were slamming a clear metal flake twister tail. One of my most memorable days down there. We got a 3 person limit. I believe it was 5 per person then.. I always admired the old school snaggers that used the clear metal flake tails that blended in with the fish. Not that you seen it above water when they were armpit deep taking them off

I think me and a friend with our kids are going to catch and clean fish then when bullheads wake up soon have a fish fry over a fire and camp/ invent landowner (our buddy farmer) and run lines at nightEat some if the owner let's you!
