This kid has a genuine interest in shooting and tonight, I finally let her shoot more than a BB gun. She had a blast! Literally. The .22 made her smile over and over again, and it brought out the competitive streak to make an even better shot. Honestly, with some more practice, I'll let her shoot at a deer in the absolute right circumstances this fall. She'll be 5 in February, which is definitely early, but she gets it mentally already and she shot well enough to get the job done 6 times in a row. I might be stuck as a girl dad, but all 3 of them are gonna be badasses.

They don't know the difference. Up to use to show them that it doesn't matter. Keep passing it on brotha! These girls have more heart in the outdoors than most boys. My girl does too and I'm perfectly fine with that. Can't wait to sit in a stand with her in a few weeks.

Forget doing 4h animals, 4h shooting team is where it’s at.
Tracie's cousin, who is a buddy of mine now, got a full ride to Ohio State to join their rifle team thanks to his 4H experience. It's definitely on my radar!
