I really dont. I mean i use $40 game winner hang ons from academy sports and they’re fine for me. But a light stand and light sticks does solve some problems for me as I continue to hunt lower and in more uniquely shaped/angles trees. The only way i do the hang and hunt is if i can find the lightest stick/stand combo. The climber doesnt fit the bill in most cases.
$625 for just the stand?
There has to be a cheaper option. Maybe not 6.8lbs. I know the Millennium M7 is 8.5lbs and cost $250.

I can vouch for the M7. Super comfy and versatile. Easy to hang and hunt. I paired mine with LW sticks and it’s a great combo. Had to get a little creative when pairing the sticks to the stand for transport but it works
It's just money. People spend way more than that on equipment like bows and guns. Why not be comfortable?

@giles - i shoot a ten year old bow that i take good care of and I don’t fall in the to consumer traps of this industry. This is a good point. Really for me it’s about the tradeoff. I’m giving up a little more stated max capacity and platform width for what seems to be better construction. And while trying to go as light as possible, the 1.7 lb difference between the m7 and the beast is 20% lighter.
also, I probably dont buy more than one of these in my life. Still leaning towards the beast. I’ve ruled out xop and lone wolf. Consider the m7

It doesn’t look as comfortable as the M7 to me. Looks can be deceiving though.
Not bashing anyone that would spend that kind of money on the stand. Everyone has their own preferences.
Also pretty much no way to try them out for testing comfort. To be honest, if I wanted comfort I’d hunt from my climber or a blind. The tree lounge climber is still one of the most comfortable stands I’ve ever owned. I find myself standing a lot while bow hunting, also.

Hunt how you want, when you want, where you want and with whatever you want. Just obey the rules. It is YOUR hunt after all.
Most guys my age (Social Security eligible) are now hunting memories! And there ain't nothing wrong with that either. If i were young I would hunt saddles too. I'd use aiders and baiters and sticks and whatever else.
We used to buy a kit from TSS or whatever it was before or after...seems it changed yearly, and cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to fit it. We then cut a smaller piece for the seat and put it on hinges on top of a pipe to swing up to the tree as a seat. Those adjustable bands that could fold flat were cutting edge baby! Put on my DuxBark camo and drench myself in Earth Scent grab my Darton with a flipper rest some game getter arrows and Razerbak 5 broadheads and go hunting!

Totally agree, lot’s of things in here my dad has done. I’m really not concerned about any judgment, just trying to make the most informed decision

Ive gone as far as calculating the weight per inch of the sticks… felt weird.

I thought about getting the solid sticks from Beast Gear. I've seen where the ones with holes have bent slightly. Aiders will get you higher in the tree with less sticks.
I like Dan and his energy, but he's not offering $400 more in value, efficiency, or comfort over similar stands in the $200 range. You're definitely paying a premium for hype, but also small batch sizes, which is likely the biggest driver behind his price point. It's certainly a well thought out stand that's worth a premium, but I think it's over-priced by 100%.
