That goofy racked buck is now grunting & chasing over by my popup
Wind is every direction but where it's supposed to be blowing. I need the thermals to kick in ASAP! In until noon, then prepping another stand, washing clothes and a TBD hunt tonight. I'm off the rest of the week, but still have dad duty. Wife is on call tonight, so K is either hunting or I'll be out behind the house. Hung a stand in the best rut spot of my career, so we'll see if there's any magic left in it. Down in the Pond Holler today hoping there's does bedded N, S, and W of me this morning. Classic "transition area".

I don’t know what changed from yesterday to today other than a slight temperature difference but the big boys are on there feet! Have seen three nice bucks chasing does along the top of this ridge this morning and had one come right underneath me grunting and wheezing at 655. Couldn’t tell what he was. Just had that same wide, heavy, ten point from last week come down to 15 yards and work a scrape. He is every bit of 130… just not my cup of tea! Finally had a second to type this up, good luck to everyone this morning!
A 7 point out for a morning stroll. I’ve heard some others. If I have to stand up quickly I’m in trouble. This stand pops every time you stand or sit. Needs reset but deciding when to do that will probably turn out bad. My lower back won’t allow me to stand for extended periods.
Its hot ! I've been grunting & different bucks r around. Nothing out in front yet.

I had a really good buck follow a doe by. There was no shot opportunity. It is too thick in here!
37° w/ a slight West wind. A couple of young bucks and Wild Turkeys in front of me as I type.
Six so far including a big buck just around 8. I watched him get up from bed and into the woods from the South corner of beanfield.

Wow! A hawk just nailed a dove from the pile. It missed yesterday but connected today.

Speaking of finelyshedded Ric... I've been on the site how many years and have yet to see Ric get a deer... And I think Ric by far is one of the better deer hunters on this site... Come on Ric, LETS END THIS DEER LESS STREAK....
He’s a big buck kinda guy, what trips his trigger, I’d fall out of the stand with just a sighting
