Let’s try this again. Maybe today is THE day after years of futility.
This buck showed up yesterday. If it’s the one I think it is he went way downhill. He still gets one if he shows his face. Yes his right beam “quit”. I’m going to rename this place the land of misfit toys.

I’m the one guy that likes Snow White antlers.
As you can see my feeder leaked all over the ground. Corn dust filled the bottom of the port and it just slid out like a sliding board. If I was a corn hunter I could have been done a long time ago. But I like being the #worstdeerhunterinohio
Really had to fight the “stay in bed” demons this morning. I finally talked myself into going, so as a result I’m just now getting settled in. Later than I prefer. But I’m here. And it’s another perfect southerly wind for this skinny timber pinch point. Hopefully a mature deer finally makes an appearance.

Settled in about a half hour ago. Same property I all day sat the other day. Not the best wind once again but I gotta be in here, you never know where they’re gonna come from here. Decoy is deployed and I have until 11 to hunt them gonna try to slip back in for an extended evening sit. Good luck to anyone else out. Hate this bump up in temps. Friday looks like a beauty, 14° temp drop post rain 
4 deer outside the blind. No harassment to be had.

Deer just snorted twice across the hollow on the opposite hillside…way up top. Wind is in my favor so I’m not sure what that was about. Maybe it saw a coyote or something.

Finally having some action. 2 or 3 small bucks cruising the field edge to my north, came from the opposite direction than I’d anticipate them to and got down wind of my before the decoy. I hate climbing down mid hunt and this early, but I think I need to adjust where that decoy is standing if I’m going to have a chance.
Mike, if you would pass on this deer that flying lion is gonna snatch YOUR ASS up! Lol
We’ll save that moniker for next season, Mike…

Hey, it’s your tag so use it however you like.
That’s a mature buck with a cool looking dark rack and prolly should be taken out of the herd but knowing YOUR buck hunting quest is over with so much more season left does care some weight. Good luck either way but from all the images of deer you’ve passed thus far and seeing the successes of your family, tagged out or not by seasons end you sir have had a GREAT season…..
