I put a slug barrel on it and have killed several deer with it. Unfortunately I misplaced the shot barrel. It is in fact from the 70s.

I believe it’s a remington that I picked up at Kames in Canton. I could be misremembering. Open to suggestions on a shot barrel to replace the original.

You should be able to find them on E-bay as well as places like Yankee Lake gun show. If it were me I would go straight modified. You can get Rem choke barrels for it too! The prices have come down on them thanks to black and plastics being hot, plus Ohio and New York opening up rifle options for deer hunting.

Best bet though is a gun show as you can look at the barrel and they are cheaper there. I guess it depends on what you want to hunt with it.
