Hunting creature comforts

I've been using these for three seasons during times within a tree stand and temps are below 25* with any stiff wind. They're great to have and use. I'm about to order another pair because I about have the pair I have currently worn out.

Three of the days of this year's muzzy within the blind, I used my 'Heater Body Suit' to keep me very comfortable during the all day sits. Another item I couldn't live with out during any brutal cold temps. Sometimes it's difficult to stay awake when I'm in that suit and the deer action is minimal. I've had my suit for many years, when they first were introduced, probably 10 years ago and it's held up real well. I've used it in tree stands as well many of times over the years. Just another item that I will use if the temps are below 20* and the winds are above 10 mph.

How well does that fold up in a pack?

It will attach to a pack but I haul mine right above my backpack while strapped around my shoulders.

It comes with straps and I roll it up like you would a sleeping bag, then I put my arms through the straps and toss it over my head and around my shoulders on my back while hiking to or from any of my hunting setups. I've even done sill hunts with it on my back and it never was a bother while bow hunting. It's rather light to carry in that fashion. If I do not use it in a tree-stand, I'll either hang it on a hook or just toss it to the ground below me. Never was a bother to haul it out to any of my hunts with me. Like I said, I've had mine for probably 10 years or better and it's still in excellent shape.

I need to buy a extreme cold weather jacket that is warm but not bulky, I hunt alot of places where I walk a lot almost like out west hunting (public land and private way off the road). Is the sitka fanatic work the money?
I wouldn’t spend that much money on anything for my own comfort. However, I did buy Mason a bunch of Sitka gear and I did borrow his jacket one day. I was so impressed with it I mentioned to his mother how nice it was fully knowing she would spend that kind of money for my comfort without bating an eye. 😁. Snoop around a little and there are deals to be had on it.

Alot say this jacket and pants are extremely warm... Reviews all seem to be great and they have a tall version... Midway has them on sale right now in limited quantities... I'm on the fence about buying the jacket as it has a non removable hood and I hate a hooded jacket...

Yesterday 13 degrees wind and snow. Saw animals flinchlock wouldn't fire at an 8 point. Nothing special but ARRRGH!
I had 4 hot hands in my pocket. 2 on each side and my hands in between when the gloves weren't enough. I sit on a folding stool with a hot seat and back. Was there and comfortable from 1:30 til closing time. No tent. I layer in silk and mereno wool under a gortex snow camo outer layer. At age 63 this works for me. Oh and 20 year old Sorrel pack boots with my mereno wool socks. I had a ball cap sandwiched between 2 beanie hats and wear a thin camo face mask. If I were staying longer I wouls wear my gortex with thinsulate camo instead and maybe my 30 year old La Cross Iceman pack boots.
Saw 10 doe and 3 buck.

The hot hands i use are the larger ones not those worthless little ones. These have a peel and stick back and I stick them to each side of my pocket. They are 12 hour packs and I can take them off and then put them in a ziplock bag and squeeze out the air. that way I can reuse them!

I got some electric hand warmers for Christmas I don't like wearing heavy gloves and they have been awesome the last few days.
Dude, I read this. Went too Amazon and found a highly recommended set and they were delivered in 24 hours. Gave them too the wife and they’re a hit. I always handed my hand warmers too her when I got home from hunting in the winter. She always enjoyed them as they soothed her sore hands. These were a hit right outta the box!!!! Thanks buddy!

I bought them for hunting and snowsports, they get TOO hot to handle on high. My wife melted one literally when using it to warm up her side of the bed.

These are what I have, can use them to charge your phone also. You are right I grabbed one in my pocket the other night and thought I melted my finger prints off.

I hunt exposed so these are a must for me with temps like they were yesterday. You put them over your boots when you get to your spot.

Just received in the mail my newest pair, which is kinda perfect timing since tomorrow morning is going to be in the single digits and I just may get out for a hunt with them.

Ordered mine off of ebay last Monday for the same price with free shipping. The quality of this pair first appears to be better than my last. I shall see if they are. A must have for me, especially if I'm hunting out of a tree-stand in these kinds of conditions like today.

Wife just got back and added to my updating collection. She done good with this purchase from Costco for $80

I don't know anyone that owns any but at the price it seemed like a zero doubt. Even if I just own a jacket to bum around in now.
