2022 Shed Hunting

Finally found #20 and it was a nice one. Walked 6.5 miles today and it was only one I found. Have been finding some boot tracks in the spot so maybe some are being picked up. It’s been about 2 weeks since I’ve walked this area and it wasn’t there then but it did get some small rodent damage.

I did find a deadhead last week that laid since last year but it was gnawed on so bad I just left it. My #19 wasn’t much to write home about either and was prolly dropped and carried between canine teeth several times before

I laid out all 20 sheds I’ve found so far for a photo. The 5 year old or older sheds are up front to the right. The biggest shed that I found today is in center back and roughly tapes 65”.
I’m about done but might get out a few more times. Those raised bed boxes aren’t gonna build themselves and I’ve got more firewood to cut and haul. Lol

Found it in my first 30 minutes of walking(<1 mile) then nothing from then on walking over 5 miles. Walked some great spots but they just weren’t there.

I found this one in my first 5 minutes and spent the next 2.5 hours looking for its match and never found it.
Id say its my top 3 sheds ever found.

#’s 22 and 23 found today after walking 7.5 miles. Lol
Can’t believe how many YouTube shed people count the old chewed up relics as I never really did but I do get it that, “a sheds a shed”. In years past if it didn’t get displayed with the decent to best condition sheds I would keep them but not count them. I guess I’ll join the rest of the majority and count these terrible looking chew toys, lol.

Walked two properties. Came home empty handed again. Checked a couple camera cards. There was at least one deer still holding March 31.

Made it out and hit a cornfield and a couple spots I have already checked and ended up with 5. Really good day for me. Thats my finds this year, i may try and get out one more time. Its time to start doing other stuff and turkey hunting will be here soon. Its really starting to green up.
