Greysons team lost 5-2 tonight. Some players on vacation and half the ones playing were either sick or just recovering. Greyson played like a chicken shit. Went 1 for 3 with 2 strikeouts looking with men on 2nd and 3rd both times. They were right down the middle

F-Yeah, won Regionals just now 4-0!!! First baseball Regional title in our school’s history. Allen played RF but didn’t hit. Was a tough game and we only got 2 hits but somehow capitalized on some errors by the other team. Definitely a pitchers duel.

Next game going on now is for the next door regional title, winner of which we will play later today for the quarter finals on the road to States. Wish us some more luck!!

Our HS team lost in extra innings in today's state championship game. Was a barn burner till the end, damn proud of their run!

Damn that’s awesome they made it that far though!! Good for them to make it a competitive game like that!

We ended up losing the quarter final game tonight 9-1. Man that Detroit Edison downriver team had some incredible athletes. We were down 6-0 when Allen was able to pitch the 6th inning. He gave up a couple good hits to get 2 on before he gave up a big home run to make the game 9-0. He buckled down and got out of the inning tho with one strikeout and two pop flys. Our bats never woke up much but finally got a run across in the 7th off a walk and eventually a real hit in the game. Tough to see the team struggle not hitting like that but they’ve been there off and on all season.

Was so good to see him pitch one last moment before he hung up his cleats for good now. Wasn’t even sure if he would play today let alone play RF and pitch some. Tough time for Terry and I in that last inning knowing that was it.

Edison has a couple kids that will either play for Michigan or sign MLB contracts right out of HS. Interestingly, the State of Michigan is probably the best producer of baseball talent outside of the big 3 of Florida, Texas, and California

We have improved to 5-1 on the year with a 11-4 win last Thursday over one of the other Edison teams. 3 games in a row this week starting tonight against the only team that has handed a loss on the season opener. It should be a preview to the division championship in a month, hope our boys come to play today because it's gonna be a another HOT one both temp and pitching wise.

We are down to only 1 player not getting a hit yet, but he's got the hunger which is HUGE since he shakes/cries while in the batters box. His 1st year playing baseball and him getting a hit will make my season no matter what the record....come on Dawson, beautiful day for a hit pal!

Fuckin A, we took game 2 of the match up tonight! Up 9-4 going into the 5th, and they tie it up on 2 consecutive errors to 9-9. Went into extra innings and we held them to get the win during our last at bats. I'm beyond proud of all the players but both my boys stepped up huge tonight to get the W. This is the team that beat us in the season opener and they've been undefeated since.

Ty pitched 2 solid innings, but was on fire with his bat with 3 triples and 1 double. Myles got the nod for the 7th inning pitcher, his first time on the mound. He held his own and helped hold them to 0 runs in OT, by tossing way more strikes than our 3rd starting pitcher. I don't recall his at bats, but know he was aggressive all night.

2 more home games this week, tomorrow and Thursday.

I haven't updated in a bit. We fi ished the regular season last week at 11-3. In Greyson's last at bat, bottom of 6th, tied 2-2, he crushed a game winning double over the left fielders head. I was so happy for him. It was a lo g process since getting smoked in the face last season. He's back to his old self at the plate

Tell Greyson great job! Do you start playoffs now? Our last regular season game is not until Tues 7/12. We start playoffs the following Mon 7/18.

How’s his fielding?

He's getting there as a first year player. Decent in infield, work needed on judging pop ups. Surprisingly for his small/light weight frame, his arm is his strongest attribute, behind his determination. He gets mixed in at 2nd, SS, and 3rd. Great 1 hopper thrower 3rd to 1st.
