Well unfortunately the rona got me and Dj this past week. Looks like the wife got her second bout taking care of us but she won’t take a test. Dj is completely out the woods, so am I mostly. Still have some lingering sinus and when I go outside in the heat, it takes everything out of me in 30 minutes. Fuck this Kung flu shit!

A little proud moment today. We were doing a video today and I asked for the ladder truck to join in. Probably the only time for us that we will ever be in bunker gear together. The video and training prop was the flashover.

I could recalculate my retirement payments. Would take another 3 years to do a full recalculation…..nobody got time for dat! Anything after my drop per month adds to it. The big question is when is enough. I will never be rich, but won’t be starving either. I would love to do some bucket list things while I can. I don’t have any big buckets, more like large cups if that makes sense.

My advice too anyone who can retire. Do it, the sooner the better….. It’s a leap that concerns everyone, but ask them a year later? You’ll see it on their face….

So I thought I posted these but looked back and it wasn’t there. 3 weeks ago or 4, took the wife fishing. Caught a bunch of tourist trout (salt water catfish), then on the way home hit a few crab trap lines and managed to catch two tripletails.

No teal at home down south. Neighbor cutting tomorrow and offered to let me cut mine w his tractor. Got to the camp, drinking beer, just ate deer loins on the grill and I guess we staying up since it’s now 3:15. Going to try to teal hunt and go cut after helping neighbor. Let pearl at home. Good times tonight telling stories, drinking and listening to loud music.

What do you do in a situation like that where Pearl is with you but you see a gator. After seeing that, I’d never let my dog in that particular waterway ever again. Do you guys bring kayaks in the event that you see a gator?
