I've been following Origin since Jocko and Pete founded it, so I've been waiting to see this launch for a long time. When Kip left UA, and then when Cam left, if you followed any of these guys on IG, it was pretty easy to see they'd be joining Jocko and Pete at Origin. I am super impressed with this line of gear, including the price point since I expected it to be even more than Sitka. I don't love the camo, but I may end up supporting them just because I believe in their mission and am a Jocko fanboy.

The camo looks similar to the old “tiger stripe” stuff the military used back in the 70’s.

Very cool. What's the price point?

We should do a thread on the gear choices we have because I have similar ideas from a variety of sources.

I’m with you I’m not a big fan of the pattern but I might pick something up because I’m a fan of all of them but the biggest selling factor for me is being US made.

Jeff's comment is on point, but for me, it's chasing deer in the hills of Appalachia. More than once, I've had a walk in turn into a hunt and it's handy to still be camo'd up, but staying cool. Less practical for pants, but a good idea for tops IMO.
I can agree to a point. But I've killed more deer without wearing camo than with. So to buy camo underwear is a bit of a reach for me. I can support the buying of quality gear that is US made though! And if it's the last pair I ever need to buy, even better.

I'd say they'll eventually add a cheaper option in black, tan, and military green. "Spec Ops Green" is my favorite color and would be a sweet addition to their lineup.

I think it’s great a lot of these companies are trying to chase down Sitka for a share in the market. Maybe it’ll help bring some of the prices down. That Origin ninja hoody, and first lites new “ninja” style hoody, are dead copies of a hoody that sitka has been offering for years. I hope this works out for Origin, but I’m worried they may be a little too late to the party. There’s a ton of similar product offerings out there these days. Maybe the fact that they are truly manufacturing in the USA will help them overcome this big hurdle.

I also like the fact that this is making companies make quality gear.
