So, I just bought a new crossbow at Walmart yesterday, and I forgot to pick up some broadheads. I need to practice tonight because the season opens tomorrow! Gotta be ready to fling some bolts, ya know what I'm sayin!!

depends on who you ask, I used them for years, last few years I have been unhappy with their permformance and do not think they are as well made as they used to be, I have switched to a fixed 2 blade

I’ve used Rage hypodermic for 7 seasons now with zero issues. Great mechanical BH. Especially the NC no collar types.
I have G5 Montec. They haven't given me a reason to try any others so I am zero help.

Ha! Hey Giles! Yeah, I don't kick around the boards much these days. In reality I've been shooting Slick Trick 125s for the past 5 or 6 years now!

pick up a pack of 3 blade muzzys until you figure out what you wanna shoot if you are in a pinch. You can't go wrong with muzzys

It’s better if you pick em up in the morning on the way to your spot and dont shoot em first
Just look down the shaft and make sure it lines up square with your sightAt least bore site it if you want to be ethical
Be sure to wrap your fingers around the slide so it doesn't jump on you. Right @xbowguy
Make sure you remove that guard also. That’ll speed up the bolt by 100’ per second!
Out of a three pack I killed two trees and a six point lol. That was out of a compound bow. Tried one on my crossbow and the blades deployed when I shot and the bolt lifted off like a plane. Went to fixed blade after that.

I shot my dads and probably almost got my fingers! Im a rope grip guy on an AR15 style and I used something similar but my thumb probably came close, not even thinking. I was dead sober too. I thought about it afterwards... Just new to the crossbow thing.

Don't know for sure but I never seen a arrow or bolt make a curving hook in mid flight so I figured it opened up.
That's a guy who's seen a few trolls in his day
