How so? As in a one loss Bama has a chip on their shoulder and something to prove? Or a one loss Bama just reduced their Play off odds? I am curious.I honestly thought it was going to be way worse before the game. I figured more 49-24 type stuff. TN played a hell of a game, Bama screwed themselves with penalties which have been an issue this year. Good for TN. One thing I did see that I liked, and was new, is Bama does indeed have the grit to stay in a game, fight, and make up a gap. Clean up those penalties and more attention to the basics and that's a stellar team. TN still has a long road to the playoffs with Ga in their future and then Bama again in Atlanta. Providing Bama wins the SEC west. One thing for sure, a one loss Bama is not the same team as a undefeated Bama.

Plus losing now isn’t as bad as losing later and if they win out they’re still in the playoffs.Traditionally a one-loss Bama has a different edge to them the rest of the season. The team stops letting that high and mighty get to their heads. They feel the sting of reality and stop letting all that prestige get to them. Or as Saban calls it "rat poison". It's a wake-up call. Now they feel the reality of " we better clean it up and play or we're not going to make it. I guess it gives them something to fight to achieve instead of taking it for granted because of the reputation of the school they're playing for. Maybe it gives the coaches something to point to and say "you fucked around and look what happened". Maybe its the feeling of letting the team, fans, and the ones who came before down. Maybe it's because losing sucks, especially when you're not used to it. Whatever it is, a one-loss Bama always plays harder and smarter.
