Last day of rutcation and I agree this is stupid. My bipolar relationship with hunting is now full bore. Sitting in a stand I haven’t hunted in a couple years. My wife and I actually built it 10+ years ago when we were still dating. Built out of treated and man it’s still sturdy. Killed a buck out of here with a west wind about 5 years ago. She said to hunt the stand and I agreed. Hoping for some luck. I’m only about 100 yards away from where I jumped that good buck yesterday. He should be close.

Been set up since 0630ish. Nice 600 yard walk from the house. Good spot for this wind.

Two does as first pop, one unidentified antler deer grunting and blowing about fifteen minutes ago in the thicket I’m next to. Never came out…. Dammit I could already use a beer lol #14daysstraight
The buck i was hoping to kill got offed last night. I was thrilled a neighborhood hunters grandson got him to where i could lay hands on it. So rethinking by the stove with coffee. Looks like an orange army should be marching out there today with this pretty white on the ground.

Another great hunt in extreme SE Ohio. I’m up to 12 deer. The best being a 3 year old 10.
Sitting in Northern Indiana With gun in hand. Dead this morning. Perfect snowy morning too. Passed 4 young bucks and 8 doe yesterday. Chasing hard yesterday. Zero so far today.
Wallet located next to the toilet. About to head back south. These northern guys are fun to hang out with, cooking is top notch, beer is cold, sleeping arrangements are good, but the actually guide service sucks! Time to head back to swirling winds and places I have zero expectations.
