Ok.... What I'm I missing??? It's the second day of gun season in a state known for quality deer... Add in the fact that TOO has some pretty good deer hunters.... So where are all the reports of quality deer being harvested... Totally expected " The Twins " to have a good one on the ground already...

Sit tight. It will happen. I've heard of some good ones dropping. It will be a short matter of time and you'll see one.

Most guys on here identify as bowhunters. Gun season has never seen high-yield big buck outcomes on here. I know for me personally, I haven't killed a buck with a gun since 2004. All my bucks since (8) were with a bow and I'm probably not alone in that general disparity.

This. The majority of guys here shoot bucks the last week of October and the first two weeks of November. Many fall the first cold front in October. After gun and late season when the weather turns cold for prolonged periods some more will fall. But TOO has never really laid the hammer on bucks in gun season. Used to shoot a lot of does as most saw gun season as freezer-filling time but with the numbers perpetually down guys have slacked off on killing the sick heads.

I think Jesse is forgetting a giant 6 point that left the most badass frost line I've ever seen.
Yep. I was only thinking about the current house and the farm. Forgot I killed 2 at the old house. That was 2016 if I remember correctly, so I stand corrected 😉 22 years of killing deer and only 2 bucks with a gun and both were good ones!

I'm not sure what you're asking. I've never killed a deer with a crossbow. And for those that do kill their bucks with a crossbow, that's technically an archery kill and true to what I'm saying.

I was just joking... Didn't say you used a crossbow... Was yanking on Ricks chain... Just busting balls... I could care less what a guy uses...

Behind you
Got to the public at 630. Hour and a half before legal shooting time, Amish in groups of 3 or 4 every couple hundred yards spread out for 3/4s of a mile or so. Drove to the other end and there was 3 vans that the Amish drive. They were driving the entire chunk of public at one time.
