Funny story about that deer. I was starting to think I was going to have to call you again after shooting. 3 deer came in that I could see. The 1st was a yearling & the other 2 were much bigger, so I shot the 3rd at 15 yrd. I knew the bolt would fly a smidge high, so I placed the 10 yrd marker on her. After the shot, they all started to take off & I had to look out a different window after the shot to see where it was going. I was pretty sure I saw a flash of white running up thru the heavy thicket towards where we recovered my buck, but the other 2 were in the same area with their tails raised up, but after looking around, 3 deer were all just standing around looking as wtf just happened. I too sat there wondering that as well....lol. They would not leave, so I decided just to get out of the blind & walk up to where that doe was & they STILL stood there & watched me. They did leave & I stood there looking for blood and my bolt. I couldn't find anything & since it was starting to get dark, I went back to the house to get a flashlight. I did not have a lighted nock this time. When I got back , I immediately found the bolt covered in blood, before even turning the light on so I knew where that doe would be, 4 deer actually came in, but I had no way of seeing the 4th until she came in further, after the shot. The doe I shot only ran 15 yrds into that thicket & I found her shortly thereafter when I walked around to the other side of that thicket.
