Question .... With your all the more time spent at home, what would you say, if at all, would be the most annoying thing you do that drives your wife nuts ? For me, I still go to bed earlier than the wife, but what really gets her is that I love to sit & watch real murder / forensic mystery shows. On HULU, there's dozens to pick from. When she can't take anymore, lol, I tell her to go find another TV .

Working from home is pretty much retired in a sense we are always around each other. I got tired of her criticizing me about every little thing and when I question 1 thing, she does the "you always criticize me" thing. I started a small binder of all her criticisms. I just slap that down on the table when she says that. In the long run it saves time and energy trying to reason with an unreasonable and irrational creature. Oh, I do love my wife by the way. 😄

I annoy the shit out of my wife. But I’ve always annoyed her so nothing has changed.
Since we’ve moved here, then Covid hit right after. She’s retired as well. So we actually (for some reason) are less annoyed with each other, strangely weird though….
Oh, and she’s the murder mystery/forensic show junkie as well. I just put on the headphones and stream something on my iPad.

I don't see my wife. I get up, leave, go to bed way late, repeat. Every once in a while, she'll call me, or stop out and see me. Other than that, we're living a happy life. Wouldn't change a thing.

I failed to mention that I do make a point for dinner everyday though. She's a helluva cook. I got lucky!

Don't get me wrong, I love my wife very much so, I just try to make up for all my downfalls in other ways, and it seems to be working. We do try to get a vacation in a year together, which is usually during our anniversary. So, there's that too. She's a good woman, and I do consider myself very lucky in that regard.

I tried the retired life....could not do it. I may try again soon. But for me in my short period it was being in the house. THat may sound weird but i am one thats always outside or have worked 2-3 jobs since I was a teenager. So I get board real fast and when that happens the wife gets annoyed real fast. I don't think there's a true answer to that question.

Staying in the house doesn’t work very well for me. I’m outside most of the day unless it’s raining. The shepherd is with me also.

I’m sure there are things I do that irritate my wife and I know she does things that irritates me. Having a “airing of the grievances” session will do little to change habits that have been developed over a lifetime. For me, I accept what I can not change and try to spend my retirement doing things I enjoy. The wife and I will watch tv shows that we both enjoy (Yellowstone, Hells Kitchen, Ghosts, ect.) we cook meals together sometimes, go to auctions and yard sales. But we each have “our time” also….she’ll go out with her friends either shopping or maybe mini vacations to places I don’t want to go (like NYC). I’ll hunt deer, Turkey, go fishing, hang out with friends ect. Basically doing all of the things we used to do with our friends before we got married.

I’m not retired, but I don’t like working anyhow. I like to get a cup of coffee and go in and sit on the other side of my wife desk and kick my feet up and ask all kinds of questions 🤷🏻‍♂️. If she didn’t want me doing that she wouldn’t have a chair on the opposite side of her😂

I can just imagine hearing you saying this out loud, and the visualization, lol.

Like when did you get old enough to need reading glasses? You’re hair has a new silver to it today must be the light 😂. How much longer are you gonna ignore me by working?

I don’t think she’s on board with me collecting bourbon.🥃😎
I have a rather small collection but I get her point and concern and both of my barrel cabinets are full of some pretty good pours so no need to look for more.
She is very on board with me having nice suppers ready when she gets home and me running errands for her to lessen her already full plate.🤗👍🏻
