What is a gooseberry?
To me a gooseberry is a Berry that was introduced to me by the original landowner of the tree farm. He gave me a sprout off of his plant now I have a large Bush at the tree farm and in my backyard. Taste is like a mild grape without seeds. I was told any color phase beyond the green growth color was ripe... all the different colorations have different flavors. I can get ya a sprout....

I would enjoy that. Always cool to add any variation of editable plants to my property.

Any idea if you can grow them indoors? What's the plant look like?

Plants spread and guessing up to 30" tall. Mine has been down there (fairly shady area) for like 12 years. Small plant is now 2'x8' size. Oh yea...Very stought thorns 1/2" and needle-like.

I'm up to 26 quarts of blueberries and 3 quarts of red raspberries. The blues get frozen the reds get eaten! Both get used in smoothies each morning...um...before I go golfing!
I had to buy the guys in my foursome a beer after today's round. i went in and ordered 4 drafts. My Stella was in a "special glass" thiers were in regular glasses. I sure hope they enjoyed their Bud Lite's!

Didn’t know where to put this so here it is. Lmao

I made a quick visit back home to see my mom, Ron and to hang with buddies that I haven’t seen but once or twice just briefly since the holidays last year. Ron’s garden and peach tree are just blowing up right now with a beautiful and tasty harvest. He graciously sent me home with peaches, maters and peppers so today I made a 4x batch of peach/pepper jam that turned out PERFECTLY!!!! Damn! Was a lot of work but we’ll worth it, IMO.

Blueberries still coming off my 2nd variety. 32 days of picking and still more to ripen. I have no real idea how many quarts these 20 bushes have given me but it is close to 60.

The red raspberries are going to produce into the fall as well. 4 original plants now are a 20' row.

The only other things I'm growing this year are weeds and horseradish...oh and 5 different hives of bees. 2 bumble bee and 3 nasty yellow jackets. 2 of the yellow jacket hives are in the ground in my front yard. I've powdered them good but still seeing stragglers. Probably hatching out.
