Smidge left on the cold shot today but still 100% lethal.

About as cold as it gets for me. We were in NC for 8 days, so first shot in a hair over a week.

I was a little inconsistent but the last several shots were solid. Last arrow hit a soft spot, just a nock poking through.

This target won't last a whole lot longer on the main sides. Cold shot today was good, but a clean pass-thru on the Block.

I shot really well this morning. When I compare the Stalker to shooting the old vintage Bear, there's really no comparison. I just shoot the Stalker more comfortably and more consistently.

I was having a really good practice session until my right elbow started hurting bad. Our tomato plants are so big that they have pulled the cages out of the ground and are falling over, so I had to use some fence posts as stakes to keep the cages upright and the damn plants from breaking themselves. Full of fruit now, can't afford to lose them . 4lb sledge hammer got me. I fucking hate getting old.

Been slinging a lot of broadheads lately.

Switched up and shot the Bear K-Mag yesterday. Cold arrow and the handful that followed were all the same...2" high. I don't know what it is about the differences between the Stalker and the Bear, but with the Bear I usually miss high and it's the opposite with the Stalker.

My old (2+ whole years) Block has been allowing pass-thru's regularly. I figured I'd try a $10 attempt to squeeze some more life out of it and bought a can of spray foam.

The can had enough to fill the holes on 3 of the 4 sides. I sawed off the excess and sprayed a couple new dots on there. I figure if it can extend the life a little and at least let me shoot field tips into it, I'll take it. When that wears out, it will be corner time until it's completely destroyed.

It's working so far. It probably won't last long but I'll take what I can get.

For broadheads, I was near Cabela's in Cincy over the weekend and saw they had a Blackout target marked down from $100 to $80, so I picked one up. I'll use this one for broadheads for a while. First Crimson Talon into the new foam this morning was on the mark.

The first and final arrows last night do NOT tell the story of how hard I struggled last night. My cold shot from 18 with a broadhead on the right, second arrow field tip on the left, same distance.

After that, I was shooting an improved cylinder choke on that bow. I struggled mightily getting anchored. Arrows were sprayed badly for about a dozen arrows, then (I think, anyway) solved the problem. I was slightly turning my head to the left which pulled my cheek away from where my tab hand was looking to anchor. The last three arrows could have fit inside a baseball in this spot.

I went back out this morning and shot great again. Cold arrow was slightly right of dead center but nothing at all to complain about.

Last arrow from 22 on the range bag/deer.

It will not be long now. Those Crimson Talon Cleaver heads continue to fly great for me. I'm pumped to send one at a live target.
