Been a pretty good trip so far now if we can knock one down it will be something. 45 degrees and were set up in the big hard woods above where the does like to bed.

Filled his belly and now he's on the prowl, bumping does out of their bed 🛌 :giggle: I also heard him before the start, rubbing on a 🌳
Took him 2 hours from then to finally step in front of me because he took sweet time. Turning out to be such a beautiful day!

Gotta get down. Buckeye game get-together was already in the day plan. Go bucks!

Getting down. Good luck to anyone still at it!

Well this weekend in ky was a success, was able to get some cams going again and moved to scrapes hopefully something will show up for the gun season down here. The best part is Cooper filled his buck tag with a 90 yard shot on this guy. Really had no intentions on him shooting one but it just worked out right. Kentucky allows youth hunters under 12 to hunt for free no license or tag. We will go out tomorrow morning and head home around 9 to see if we can get in the blind to make it a 2 buck weekend for him. The kids excitement and drive is what I miss sometimes, and this is just what I needed to get away and relax for a few days instead of working my life away. I have still yet to hunt myself in ohio but my times coming soon.

First sit of the year at the farm. Wind isn't exactly as I'd have it, but deer can come from any direction here, so I'm staying put and hoping the thermals with help, especially if the winds dies down before dark. On my favorite oak flat with a 28 yard shot to one of the most active scrapes we have. Feels good to be back in a tree!
