Another doe & fawn

Was going to slide into a rut stand we call the killing tree. Made a terrible ruckus. Found it too overgrown. Be okay for gun season with leaves off. Back in stand I hunted this morning. Probably should have headed farther west to hunt a stand that hasn't been hunted yet. Farmer is picking corn right by it. This isn't a bad rut stand either. This time of the year you just need to put the time in.

Spike just came thru. The buck I seen last night was on a scrape at the other side of the farm at 4 this morning I hope he's in the corn and comes back into the woods tonight

2 does and a button read the script. I hope she was smelling pretty. Button was under me. Never spooked but the BB harassed his mom and she went back the way they came from. Hoping they were bumped by a shooter nosing around that decides to walk this way.

All quite here on the public grounds, wind has slacked and should be a good sit. I can’t see much so if I do, it will be close.

Had the same spike and 4 pt from this morning wander through, both from opposite directions. I don’t think the wind ever stops swirling in these stupid ass hills. Also set up it possibly the smallest tree I’d feel comfortable climbing. As long as those does from last night do exactly what they did last night tonight, and have a shooter in tow I should be in reasonable shape… hope I’m not asking for too much

First flock of snow geese for the year just passed thru, and the resident great horned owl has gotten loud. Wind died, let's do this!
