Took the lazy approach today since I can't hunt very long. I set this spot up for the kids, hence the feeder. It's the easiest in/out that I have and is great for a WNW wind in the mornings. It's usually a boring sit in the mornings, but if they cruise this bottom, they'll be in bow range. I'm in between bedding areas and have had good luck seeing bucks here in the past, so anything is possible I guess. It's breezy and cold, so I'm not too mad about being in a blind. Back to the grind and in a real setup tomorrow.

stumbled around for the first 2 hours of light, where I wanted to be wasnt what I thought it was going to be. I ended up near where I sat last night. Settled in at 9:43, and had a 4 point wander by at 9:56 and then the same spike from yesterday about 20 minutes later. Didn’t see or hear anything otherwise all morning. Stopped for lunch and getting back into that area. Gotta really play the wind and thermals, but I think I’m in the right spot to get a crack at a shooter. Good luck to everyone else out and about today.

We all think at this point the deer is still alive. The LO he went on has tons of cameras both cell and card and has a pic of him and will let us know if anyone gets him on their cameras.
It’s a real kick in the gut though. He bedded down not far off the gravel road he crossed but climbed a steep hill after getting his second wind. We felt if he was mortally wounded he probably would have died right there over night. Hoping to get some pics of him so I can see that he’s ok and to see where exactly I hit him.🙄😕
