Relax...keep fine tuning to be in range and in position for when they come into heat. "Enjoy the process" is the words of someone here and I need to remind myself sometime when I'm in the grind.

Says the asshole sitting in a warm truck eating a hubigs pie. Had 2 more sets of doe w fawn. Where I need to get there is no tree to climb. Need a shovel to dig a hole to hunt in like Rambo.
Lies...I did have to open the window tho. Was getting hot.

Seen 3 bucks so far. 1 of them being decent 8 pt he was 35 yrds, but not what I'm looking for . It's been dead the last hour.
My toes are the biggest wimps on earth. SMH.

Hunted a new section this morning, went in later than I wanted but having some light to wander in was nice. Saw very little buck sign, but did hear a buck grunting and running, and had a mature doe cross the trail 25 yards in front of me. I heard a buck grunting behind her, but my wind swirled and I think he got a whiff and never showed. Where I scouted looks like it’ll be an exclusive ground hunt. We’ll see. Grabbing snackies and heading back in shortly. Chilly one this am.

Well 11 total deer skirted me by 100 yards. Found a tree w the current winds and upcoming winds where they just might work. Found another tree but wind blowing right where everything is coming from mostly in the mornings. As I was looking for a tree in the corner 2 does busted me and one was bedded in the grass. Jumped another towards dj in the grass bedded in the sun.
To tell you I’m a little bit frustrated would be a lie. Between swirling winds and prevailing winds I’m gonna have to get lucky. Time will tell unless I get done w this spot and would go hunt plan a, but winds are bad for it

From the times I've hunted out of state I'm gonna say you have to be aggressive, especially on public. The wind in ohio sucks no matter what, play it the best you can but be aggressive with it.

Was a great morning out! Three bucks within range just to young. They were running the does hard! Seen six different does total and never got busted. Probably be back in that same set in the morning. This evening I'm going to the oak flat set. Always a nice scrape line running through it and Killed my buck there two of the last three years. Good luck tonight guys!

We back in after eating some pizza at one of the celeb members place. We in same area, I made another adjustment. See if it pays off this evening or the morning.
First sit in the Corner Pocket for me. Not as much confidence in thus spot as year's past, but can't argue with how frequently my target buck has been hitting this scrape. I killed my 2019 buck here on a very similar kind of night. I'm predicting a skunk and hoping for the best!
