Wasn't familiar with them. Front man reminded me of Hugo from Lost. Wife's brother said Chumley. Either way he was talented.

My wife was entirely over stimulated. Too much noise, sound, lights, people, etc. She didn't appreciate it like I did. Pantera was awesome. Felt Like I was in a high school weight room again. Used to hear a lot of heavy stuff while lifting. .Metallica did not disappoint. Wow! Impressive show

I’ve worked hard all my life. At 58 years old, I’m finally in a position to buy the toy of my childhood dreams….a corvette. I can die happy now 😆

The State of Confusion...
Have lost about 70 pounds in the last 2 years. Feeling so good that I am hunting memories! I've been going into old hunting spots I haven't seen in about 50 years. Today I went down into a gorge I haven't been in for at least 40 years. Hundreds of feet of elevation change in a very short distance. I follow the deer trails down off the top. I have attached 3 pictures of things I saw down there.

Of course a water fall.
Then a blaze orange acorn.
Lastly the largest oak burl I've ever seen. You can see my rifle leaning against the tree for perspective.

I've had a great season and passed up a dozen legal (brow tine plus 3 up on a side here) bucks, plus at least 50 doe, looking for the big one.
Guess I'll continue the enjoyment once flinchlock season comes in after Christmas! I'd rather shoot a doe then, as opposed to a smaller buck earlier for the meat.

Wife and I went to Mooresville NC to do some shopping for Xmas. Drove about 55 minutes to the shopping center which had a bunch of nationwide stores in it. Finished shopping there and was heading to another location and went to leave and battery was dead.
Pulled out the trusty jump pack. Nothing, would only hear a click. And a weak one at that. Well, shit. Closest parts store, auto zone a mile away.
Called them up, talked to the manager, he came over 10 minutes later with battery in hand. I swapped it out. Started the truck, followed him back to the store, paid for the battery. While we were walking into the store, he was carrying the battery, I slipped a $20 in his coat pocket. He looked at me and said you don’t have to do that. I said I know I don’t have too, but I want too….
He went above and beyond too help a fella out and I appreciated it immensely….
We were able to continue on with our day with very little inconvenience…..
In this day and age, it’s good to have customer service like this.

Talking with my childhood friend of about 60 years and we used to hunt that area 40 years ago. As soon as he saw the burl he knew exactly where the tree was from memory. He is now stroke impaired and can't join me in these hunts, which is sad to me because in his 20's he could have carried me up that gorge wall on his back. Dude was benching 230 on beer cases at age 12! Whenever we would stop down to pick him up, my other 2 buddies (twins who were damn near as strong) and I would walk in his house, his dad would look up from his paper and say something like, "There's 3 of a kind that can beat a full house!" (LOL)
The 4 of us teens would often pick up his neighbor's VW Beetle from the driveway and put it sideways between the houses. Many years later the VW owner came by my place to buy a Hi LOW camping trailer from me. I confessed to our moving his VW and he just laughed and said he was pretty pissed at the time but had a good idea who the rascals were.

One of those twins died of cancer last year and the other is disability retired. I'm pretty thankful I'm able to do what I do.

I feel like Christmas came early. Actually, I ordered two different reproduction skull mounts that recently arrived. I regretted not doing something more with the buck from a year ago that Maxx recovered, plus I wanted to add a skull to another set as well. I've done real skulls before, so a quicker outcome for these. I took the antlers that have been out in the porch , revitalized with some stain & attached to a placard. I will keep that one inside. I chose this year's buck & added skull for out in the porch .....

I use Mountain Mike's which is what it looks like you have on the porch, but the indoor one intrigues me, what company made that skull? I like the look!

In the woods. Fairfield County.
Got the surgery out of the way Monday..amazing how fast they have you doing PT on the shoulder.. Been doing stretches 3 times a day plus the PT comes out to the house 2 times a week the first 2 weeks then I continue to do my stretches everyday.
After 6 weeks I go to outpatient PT for another 6 weeks.
I stopped taking the pain meds on Friday, I hate those things they just make ya tired all the time. I have very little pain now.
Now to get this bandage off and stitches out on thursday will be nice.
