Let's throw a mishap in the mix too. Very thankful I was home. Everyone laid down for a nap and I was on my phone when I heard a weird sound. Followed shortly after by the sound of water. Water was pouring out from the can lights in our kitchen. My fatass got down the stairs in an amazing display of falling with grace. Closed the main valve from the well pump and back up I went to open facets on the main floor. Then upstairs to find the toilet line blown off in our main bathroom.

That toilet shutoff valve was frozen open. I was worried it was going to break the plastic. So I went to the kids bathroom and that valve was operational. Robbed the line off of it and got the water turned back on. I'll grab another one from town tomorrow and be good to go.
This could've been real bad if we weren't home. Kitchen would've like been ruined along with the finished basement. Luckily it didn't run more than 2 minutes, probably closer to one. Ceiling should dry out and be fine. Everything else was cleaned up with towels. I promise I will buy 2 tomorrow
