Sulfur in well water

Pretty much since it began to get cold we've noticed an increasing sulfur outdoor in our well water. It disappates if you run the tap but it's noticeable. It slowly became stronger but has somewhat stabilized.

It's a new well, was chlorinated 2x, the lastv time being Sept-ish.

We have a kinetico softener and their RO (no sulfur smell in the RO).

Well company is coming out this week to look at it. They said they have a system that's about 3K which needs new media about every 10 years. I saw online Kinetico has a system that needs yearly maintaining.

Anyone deal with this? Suggestions or recommendations?

When we moved down here, I asked what kind of water filtration /softner they used. They looked at me like I had a third eye. Clean water, no smell. When I come up here to the farm I stay at, that’s all I smell the entire time. You can run that water for a week, it ain’t gona change. I drink bottle water while I’m here.

I had that smell BAD when I moved in. Springwell whole house well system with UV took care of it. Its a bit spendy, but is good for 1 million gallons before the charcoal needs replaced.
