The Lackster's 23-24 season

Man what a season. Never caught up to any of the big deer I had on camera, but boy did we have a good time. My wife wanted 10 deer this season and with the assistance of my little girl, we made it happen. I was fortunate enough to get on a few properties this year in different areas and hit several tracts of public. Saw a ton of deer this year and passed on a lot of potential. Ended the season with a 1 doe "archery", 1 eight point "archery", 1 four point "public land shotgun", 1 spike "public land muzzleloader", 1 button head "shotgun", 3 doe "muzzleloader", 1 spike "muzzleloader", and my little girl killed us 1 spike "muzzleloader". The cva had a busy season and we had a blast spending time together. I will cherish the little whisper conversations in the woods between me and that little girl till the day I die.
We had fun and my wife has had the canner working overtime. I hope everyone had a great season and great rest of the season. As for my area of Georgia the season closes today. I'm living the late season through you guys now!!!

You southern folks sure know how to stack up a freezer. I never had any interest in moving any further south but you guys have me rethinking that. Always chasing something worth eating and sharing. Just can't do that up here.
When it comes to hunting and fishing, there is definitely plenty to do 12 months out of the year. Deer season closes today, that means it's time to hit the trout waters and the mountains for pigs.
