I'm right there with you. How many miles do you have on that 7.3? I have a 2000 excursion with 371k.I've been a chevy die hard my whole life. S10s , Beretta , two 1500s , 3 duramaxes. I still love my old vehicles. I've owned two ford's one was a 64 f100 and the other an 89 f150 me and my dad rebuilt with a new 302 boss that came on a pallet with the sale for a whopping 1200 total. That truck was sadly totalled due to a methed up semi driver but still Thanful to walk away from. Anywho I still stick to my older trucks but last year I pulled the trigger on another Ford. I have my wife in a newer chevy equinox ( which I hate ) but I still keep older trucks as my drivers. Easier to fix and more reliable than newer vehicles. 2000 f250 7.3 powerstroke 6 speed manual and 1996 stepside bowtie. Congrats on the 400 mark that's awesome! Here's a couple pics of my old turds.

Yea I am glad that I live down south.I put 408,000 on a 95 k1500, 4.3 v6 motor still ran great when I let it go in 2015. I would still have it if not for the crap they treat the roads with. Ate up the undercarriage and body panels. Was a great truck!
Surprisingly low she's just at 212k . I always liked those excursions , how's the auto tranny held up for you?I'm right there with you. How many miles do you have on that 7.3? I have a 2000 excursion with 371k.

That's what i liked about those was the available room . This trucks rust free everything is completely solid except one small hole under the bed and crossmembers . Blame that on the stupid bedliner. An older fella had it and passed away. His kids decided to trade it in on a Kia so I snatched it upDamn that is low. Hows the rust? The Excursion is missing about 80% of the rocker panels but the doors and fenders are in good shape.
As for the tyranny. It didnt hold up. It was replaced with a Jasper at 140k I believe. My FIL had it before me. What can I say, it's a 4 speed You can tell she was built before speed limits were upped to 70. She like to cruise about 63mph around 1,800 rpm for a sweet spot. At 65 she starts sounding like she working to keep the pace.
The best part is she's great to camp and hunt out of. That's a full twin mattress in there.

I can't argue with that.Notice how I don't have a truck payment. I spend less on repairs than the interest alone would be on a rust free truck.
