There was a guy on this site several years ago who would kill and eat them.

I've seen some huge numbers fly over during the fall and spring up near Mansfield. Migration route I would guess. So many you couldn't keep count and for as far as you can see.
That guy is no longer alive. I don't remember his handle but that is why he isn't around anymore. I seen that years and years ago on the other thing. I remembered him earlier in this thread because we used to talk about the ways we hunted them. He liked to live off the land👍🏾

If memory serves he was killed during gun season checking traps.

I remember doing this as a kid. I self taught myself how to hunt other than raccoon hunting with my uncle. My stepfather was never a hunter but trapped back in the day before I knew him. He has a friend that showed up a few times a year to hunt crows on the farm and we would go with him it was definitely a blast. I used to think his friend was off his rocker as he was obsessed with it. Now being older I get it completely it's a fun way to pass this time of year , thats if you have the time to do it though which seems to be the killer for everything I'd like to do lol

I used to be a hardcore crow hunter growing up, my email is still crowhunter79 😂 I ate one once, super tough but edible. I’d love to get back into blasting them. I think I still have my dad’s old Johnny Stewart call, had a 50’ cable that ran to the speaker and used cassettes, worked like a dream with a couple crow decoys and owl out.

I always just made normal call sounds on a call. Almost always a single lookout would do a fly over and see the decoys then fly back to the others and return with them. Then we would bust them! The ones that survived would not return we would have to relocate. Always fun and always action. I we call it Crow shooting not Crow hunting! Perfect for Giles 😄😂🤣

I feel like Seth tried it years ago on another forum. Maybe he will chime in and admit or deny it. It's possible it wasn't him. Maybe Shadow Lurker is the guy I'm remembering.
