After sitting on Jesse's for a few years I decided to tell my wife and kids to get me one for father's day. They did. Basically copied exactly what Jesse had with the outside skirt, inside shelf and Hawk lid/seat. I like it. I can basically keep a small project or 2 in it at all times and have something to keep me busy. Most of you know I'm a busy body that doesn't sit around a bunch so it works for me to sit a few minutes and then get up and move. It works, but is it worth the money? I have some cons.
1. Spensive and I would never spend that kind of money on myself.
2. Using it as an actual cooler with ice and it sweats worse than a Mason jar.
3. Could do basically the same thing with a regular bucket.
4. Not sure I'd replace it of something happened to it.
5. Did I mention the price of it and the accessories? Lol
I also have some pros
1. Fits great in the back seat.
2. Love how I can have something to do with me at all times.
3. I can throw 6-12 beers in the bottom and head to visit someone without ice. As in a neighbor or another camper, not traveling.
4. No need to carry a chair and a cooler for short visits.
5. It has a really comfortable handle that will outlast me.
The hawk bucket lid works, but it isn't designed for the bucket. (Dinner is ready and my brain has left the conversation, so I might be back with more info)
