Has anybody tried doing their own form of powder like C'Mere Deer ?

I have a few ideas I'm going to try out in the field and report back the results before I tell everybody what's in it :D I will put it out sometime next week and let everybody know how it goes lol.

Need to get some of those apples from ernie. I bet some of those pears would be nice too, I know I sure liked them.

Waiting on Ernie to tell me where and what time to meet him on Friday to pick them up but I have a few still on the tree I can grab if I want to start before then.

Might run up to the Liberty Mill Wednesday or so and get a few other things to put in it :D.

My guess that one of the secret ingredients is Bisquick. :smiley_chinrub:

Nope..not making biscuits or pancakes over here..maybe some cornmeal lol.

I was thinking more along the lines of a few types of dehydrated fruits and some grain and just crushing them into a powder.

I can't send a pm for some reason...

I'll try to get that figured out but I can be very flexible on Thursday and somewhat on Friday. Our trees are loaded. If you wanted some now and more later, you'd be free to get them yourself (just don't steal the 5 gallon buckets!). When Jackalope gets the pm thing working for me I will give you more details. I didn't forget about you!

This is not a sample as far as quantity, trying to get the quality. The trees are loaded and I think that we've got four trees now?

Any time after 4:30 on Thursday or Friday will work for me buddy. Just let me know and I can give you a call and get directions and such.

Thanks Capt. :D.

I've experimented with alfalfa cubes and dried molasses before with lackluster results. I have an idea for a late season attractant that I might give a whirl this year. Keep up posted on the results Adam!

I will keep you all in the loop. Maybe do some pics along the way as well as put the cam over it when I get it out there.

If I find the deer like it well enough I will post the recipe for it.

I'll be very interested in this thread. I've tried some variation w/ the alfalfa cubes before too. Just seemed to make a mess on the woods floor. Aaaaaallways seems to lead back to something corn based.
