Highly recommend Pork King Good pork rinds. You can get them on Amazon, but even our local IGA carries them. Pounded a whole bag of sour cream and onion the other night.

We have tried a bunch of their stuff. Really good pork rinds.

We actually cheated a little and went to The Twisted Fork in Port Charlotte. We both got an order of hog wings and split a bucket of Mich Ultra’s for lunch.

@Jamie

What are you guys doing for bread? I know Nancy normally makes it. Christine just made some loafs today and I am highly tempted to smoother some in grass fed butter.
Interested in hearing Jamie’s take as well.

I stay away from white and wheat bread completely now, but I have endulged in sourdough toast 2-3 times while out for breakfast… and I haven’t noticed any negative effects from it.

What does the research say for lipid panels and this keto/carnivore/low carb diet? I had blood work completed back in March and most of my numbers were within normal spec. I had another round completed last week, and my LDL and Total Cholesterol are both elevated above “normal” range. Neither were high enough to be losing my mind over, but elevated nonetheless. Total Chol went from 181 in March to 207 last week (normal is 120-199). LDL went from 120 to 127 (normal is less than 100). Non-HDL Cholesterol rose from 134 to 142 (normal is less than 130).

I’ve lost a bunch of weight and I feel great. I feel like my testosterone is higher than it used to be prior (no data to back that up). All in all I feel good, but is this WOE going to give me an early heart attack?

@Big H you and your wife have been on this train for a while… Have you guys had any bloodwork done to compare numbers?

We have been avoiding real bread. It’s painful, but we have found some pretty good low net carb breads. Aunt Millies Carb Smart white and wheat are good for sandwiches, buttering, grilled cheese, and toast. Burger and HD buns, too. I mean this is good sliced bread for both taste and texture. I bought a two loaf pack of white low carb breads from Costco that is good, too, but I don’t remember the name. Nancy diving into keto breads recipes that use almond, coconut and other flours to bake for us. Still waiting for the first loaf, lol.

Thank you. The home made stuff is what I'm interested in. I'm trying to talk her into making something I can eat for a change! Lol.

I guess we can explore together 👍🏾

I’ve been buying Keto friendly bread at Costco but tend to like this I got from Krogers a tad better.
