What are you carrying and why?

I'm sure you have shot it after installing the compensator, how big of a difference did it make?
Oddly enough, I don't know....yet. :sneaky: I put it on 2 years ago and never made it back out to the rifle range to test it. I should've though, because there could be a point of impact difference. Not highly likely, because of my experience with my 243, which never changed anything....just projected the sound away from me. (y)

I will shoot it before the end of the Deer Gun Season.....if for no other reason, but to hear it.

The 450 arrived and I mounted the scope
Ruger American GEN-2 I have not shot it but will soon
First impressions, I like the 3 position safety I have bumped my bolt in the past and had the gun not fire.
I like the stock it has adjustable pull and cheek pad.
The 3 lug bolt seems smooth and it cycles well.
I like that the magazine doesn’t hang down 3 inches like the 350 legend
If it shoots as accurately as the 350 I am sure I will like this gun.
The turret on the Luopold scope says specifically 250 grain bullet at 2200 FPS my 350 scope doesn’t specify bullet weight or speed.
I guess I will just have to test that once it is zeroed

Killed quite a few with my Savage 220, but this week I think it's time to break in a new .350 Legend and see what all the hype is about. CVA Cascade with 16" barrel and Barnes 170-grain hollow point copper-solids.
First shot, first kill. Brought home a doe a couple nights ago, thanks to the new 350. 60 yards, broadside… took out both lungs and the top of the heart. Entry and exit holes, solid blood trail. The kids and I tracked her in reverse yesterday and were able to locate the bullet which was buried in the ground. Very pleased with the performance of this Barnes bullet. It did exactly what it was designed to do.
