Not enforceable from what I remember. They started pulling this BS when I was working. Sherif said they couldn’t enforce it. May hav changed since then, though….With this level 3 snow emergency stuff, can you really get arrested for driving? Or is that just a threat to keep people home?
I hate when the government does that BS, all it does build a divide between citizens and officials. Not enforceable from what I remember. They started pulling this BS when I was working. Sherif said they couldn’t enforce it. May hav changed since then, though….
They run into issues when employers start firing employees for not showing up. That’s when the lawyers start showing up….I hate when the government does that BS, all it does build a divide between citizens and officials.
What about beer?Just don't be out fucking around if you don't need to be. Let the people who need to be out, be out. Get out of the way and let people do their job of making the roads clear. People don't understand that. They think they need to be out checking things out or getting Starbucks.
Plan ahead. I'm not saying don't be out. I'm saying don't be out for stupid things. Endangering everyone and just in the way of people trying to do their jobs. Your lack of planning doesn't make it an emegency. When some assclown comes sliding past me working on the side of the road, it gets under my skin when I see the coffee cup. I stand behind the sheriff saying keep your butt at home. Sure he's overstepping for the safety of my life and others that have to be out in this crap working. Pathetic that they have to in this entitled world we live in today. What about beer?
There are a lot of people who shouldn’t be driving at all, regardless of the weather conditions. I have yet come across conditions that I couldn’t arrive safely in. Have there been some sketchy situations, yep there has, but mostly due to others negligence in their driving habits. A lot of us, you included. Learned without the benefits of anti-lock brakes, air bags, and all these different style tire treads. Especially 4 wheel and all wheel drive these days. Summer tires and winter tires, with some being studded were the flavor of the day. The more they make vehicles safe, the more people get reckless…..Plan ahead. I'm not saying don't be out. I always got a sense of satisfaction when I was done cleaning up after a snowstorm. That was until the plow truck came by at 30 mph and sent road chunks over the sidewalks I’d just cleaned…… #fuckinsnowplowsView attachment 203945
I'm thinking it was 6 or 7 inches here, drifting in spots up to 12"
Cleared the driveway in the morning, had to do it again in the afternoon.
I get what your saying as I've done a bit of road work myself. But alot can be said for common sense. If you're In construction zones, be mindful of the equipment and people working and slow down. If it snowing, be mindful of the plows and people clearing snow and slow down. I get what you're saying, I really do. But I'm not gonna be told when and if I can leave my house and go about my normal daily routine.Plan ahead. I'm not saying don't be out. I'm saying don't be out for stupid things. Common sense goes a long way in this winter traveling. I know I’m preaching too the choir, but had too put it out there on my stance…
