It seems Mason will be missing this year due to a college friend’s wedding. My buddy Steve is planning to head over with me.

It appears I had the dates incorrect for this year. I thought I would have to skip it this year due to a niece’s wedding, but I was wrong. As it turns out the wedding will be the weekend of Compton, so we will be missing that one. So, who all is going to Cloverdale?

I’ve certainly heard worse ideas! I think mid-May is really late in the season down there, perhaps the last week? A buddy down there told me yesterday they start April 7 this year, I think. Regardless, if season is still in, your plan would make a perfect week!

I think I’m going to skip next weekend on Tinys advice and try to make the Classic. As much as I’d like to just skip the wedding and go to Cloverdale, I’m not gonna do it. I’d forgotten about Compton, so thanks for the reminder Wiley.

#14 on his pre-work walk this morning.

He really hasn’t covered that many miles but he has been squeezing in an hour here and there when the weather has permitted. His batting average this season is way higher than any previous year.

Mason and I spent a couple hours today looking for a 70ish inch shed that it surely laying in our woods. No luck aside from this old, tiny, chewed remnant of an antler. It still counts to Mason. So he is at 13 on the season.

We had to call Mason into work at 830 because our delivery truck arrived early. He had just started his walk and found this one ten seconds before we called. lol. This is last year’s antler and we believe it is off the deer he called “the 160”. He will definitely be one we look forward to...

Tony went for a walk this morning. This was the only set he was hoping to find and as it turned out it was all he found. He is super excited obviously but there is a real chance he will not be able to hunt this farm next year.
