    2019 Rut-cation

I will be off Nov 7-17. I usually see the best action the 9-13 so I will likely be trying to pull some all day sits then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Backtension for hunting.

My wife has transitioned to a back tension release this summer and will be hunting with it this fall. She has show for 5 years or so and over the last 2 seasons has dealt with some pretty bad target panic. With a couple lessons at the local archery shop and a quality release, her accuracy and...

    Controlled hunts

No concrete plans just yet. I have a standing invite to hunt in NY with a buddy of mine and am also considering PA again but am not thrilled about the Saturday gun opener. It will mostly depend on if we can get our bucks on the ground early here in Ohio. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Controlled hunts

We did okay. It seems to get harder and harder to spend time walking for sheds as I get older and busier. We picked up quite a few small ones this year, nothing too crazy. Sarah did find a side of a nice up and comer we had out back last year. Hopefully he is around again this season. Sent...

    Nis1’s November story-SATAN WOMAN

    Nis1’s November story-SATAN WOMAN

So I drew up somewhat of a map of what the plan normally is so you can have a better understanding of what we were attempting to do. Also, I found a wild stand that was terrifying to think that someone possibly sits in. The straps didn’t look that old but I couldn’t figure out how the heck...

    Nis1’s November story-SATAN WOMAN

I’m writing this while still furious about this evenings series of events but at least we still made it to the woods... I have a good buddy that I do a lot of hunting with. He got his first buck last year and has grown a lot as a hunter. I’m very proud of the way he has evolved and the way he...

Hope everyone’s rut is going well! I had scheduled off the 7-14 to hit the woods hard with my wife and try to get her a respectable buck. Well, she filled her tag the first day of rutcation on her biggest buck to date and back to work we went. We Scheduled a trip to PA for rifle season with the...

Nis1’s story from the field/2018 Buck

Thanks! Im referring to age and antler size. He had a little ground shrinkage on me which I hadn’t encountered with a deer I’ve taken in the past. Between shooting the deer and recovering it, I would’ve told you he was mid 140’s. He turned out to only be 14” wide, and Gross green scored 129”...

    Buxkzilla story from field.

Awesome read. I feel like I’m very much like you in the way you talked about suggesting your strategies for entry/exit/winds. I often struggle with this as I always want everyone to hunt exactly how I hunt. It boils down to being selfish which I’m trying to get better at but it’s tough business...
