This proposal theoretically should cut the fall harvest to around 500 birds so down to approximately 250 hens. At least the dedicated fall turkey hunters (especially dog hunters) can still enjoy their turkey hunting preference.

I would like to see the season extended to at least a week. Also, extend the use of deer management permits through the entire deer season.

I sure do miss squirrel hunting with a dog.

Just a question, if you already shot a doe in Athens county does that mean no hunting during gun season?

I’m more worried about EHD killing cattle than I am about deer. I feel the same way about CWD crossing over to livestock.

I have quite a few friends that run bear dogs in the UP. It’s not much fun for them when they locate a dog with the gps collar and all they find is a skeleton picked clean and the dog’s collars. Plus, it doesn’t take wolves much time to do their damage.
