Didn’t see anything about stopping fall turkey season or making raccoons open season
I was brought up hunting grouse but quit shooting them a very long time ago

Awesome. Sounds like they want to decimate more deer in my county in the name of CWD. I was told by a couple land owners recently: post season, they were offered an opportunity to kill 10 more deer on their land. No explanation as to why. If you own ground and had a license, go ahead and kill 10 more. I never looked into it. Figured it was due to CWD. One of them was a guy in my men's group at the church. His boy received the letter. No reason to make it up. I believed him.

Shotgun only is a step in the right direction for sure. But tom only would be even better. I don’t think we should be shooting hens with the population decreasing.

It is definitely a kill program from the DOW. I’ve seen the letter. They’ve also been very, very quiet about the program.

I am all in on open season on racoons 365 days a year. I think that would help game birds ! Last year there was about 40 acres of corn planted on farm and the racoons ate about 8 rows deep. I tried to call them with out much success. Tried to find someone to hunt with dogs , no luck. I too think we should be only taking Toms ion the fall.
