All 3 of mine were taken the 3rd day of gun with Marlin .44 mag. I hunted with crossbow all season, but couldn't close the deal in spite some close encounters (poor stand placement on hillside) All 3 taken within 1 hour, no tracking required.

Harvested these 3 freezer fillers 12/2 with Marlin 44 mag with Nikon Buckmaster scope. Hornady 300 grain SJHP. All deer DRT. Hunted hard with bow up until gun, but couldn't close the deal. Relieved to get it done. Hunted all day in rain and snow 1st 2 days of gun seeing only 2 deer, then 3rd day...

Congrats! I've been lucky enough to have 2 doubles in the past 5 years. Both times I killed 2 deer within 5 minutes of each other in Indiana. It's a thrill!

I really like that Banks feeder on the single post. Xbowguy, that looks like a very effective set-up to keep the coons at bay. I hope you don't if I copy your idea.

You guys that use feeders, which type do you prefer? I had a Moultrie with the timed feeder. That thing was nothing but trouble, and eventually the coons tore it up. I strapped it to a tree. I'm thinking about getting a a feeder with the the individual drop stations, mounted on tri-pod legs. you...
