    Talk about a Merry Christmas...

Well boys I'm going to start this off by saying that I'm not a diehard ford Chevy or Dodge guy, so I went into the whole process with an open mind. By sheer luck I found a 2015 Silverado, With the Tuscany Baja package and 61 miles on the odometer. After having some issues with my daily driver...

    2015 buck

In late October, my dad and I were in Southern OH and he finally scored on a personal best. It took him a lot of years to get it done... I know he doesn't have the drive I do, and doesn't eat, sleep, breathe it, and that's ok. Just seeing him him finally kill a nice buck, made all the extra...

    Hopeful...

I don't tend to put a whole lot of stock in finding a good rub, or even a few here and there, because most of the places I hunt, are very highly pressured, so natural movement and is always being altered. Anyway, I had a group of 6 bucks in a piece this summer, and 2 of them were really nice...

    Ground blind

A few years back, there was a thread about ground blinds that were on sale, $90 maybe? Ive had it for a few years and recently had a support to don't the rod splinter. Does anyone remember the brand name? I can't find the book it came without a tag inside the blind anywhere.

    After a long week...

Hunted hard all week, on a DIY and I can't complain with how it ended up. My dad had an encounter on the second day with a main frame 12 that would prob push 160". We studied maps, made a plan and tried what we could in the given days we had left. Didn't have any luck even getting him on...

    Thoughts/opinions

What do you guys think of this mount? It's a personal best largemouth, close to 7.5 lbs, caught this summer. I asked the taxi to try simulate a topwater strike (caught it on a spook Jr) on 2nd cast of the morning. That's why the tail is bent, to simulate a thrust by the fish. I just got the...

    Gettin ready...

Well boys, my plan is to leave NJ Thursday night at midnight, get to the farm around 9, and hit the ground running/scouting. I'll spend the majority of the day hanging a few sets, scouting etc, hit Wal mart for supplies, check in the hotel and depending on what I find, possibly spend half the...

    NJ opener

Hey boys, I just wanted to follow up and let ya know I was able put those Dead Ringer Super Freaks to the test tonight. NJ has the Earn A Buck requirement in the early season which started today. So I had an opportunity to take a nanny tonight and the shot was true. I'm not a huge fan of...

    Hogs

A few years back, my uncle in SE Ohio, told me he's been hearing of wild boars running wild in the hills, but never physically saw any on the farm, or in the pastures. Until this year, he sent me a picture of a 350+ that was killed a few minutes down the road. Just curious to see if any other...

    Dead Ringer

I recently ordered a pack of the Trauma's, 100 grain, and was curious if anyone has any experience with them. I have 2 friends, who did pretty well with them last year. Anyone have any experiences, pros/cons etc? I like the way they fly, and the blades are extremely sharp, so it's off to a...

    New release...

I finally broke down and ordered what I wanted... the Scott Exxus. I've always been a fan of Scott's releases, their customer service, and the quality of their products. Anyone else shooting the Exxus, have any input?

    Fan mount

I can't remember if it was on TOO, but I saw a post about using the brass from shotgun shell at the top of the beard on a fan mount. If anyone remembers this link, or can let me know what they did, id appreciate it

    Custom Box Call

Anyone have a custom box call from Albert Paul?? I just got off the phone with him, spent about 15 minutes talking. I've read a ton of great things about his work, and he is one hell of a guy. I'm leaning towards a Mohagony/Walnut box, mainly because it's a clear sounding call, with the...

    Anyone watch "Primal Instinct"???

The other night, I stopped to watch a few minutes of a PA hunt on a show called "Primal Instinct". Scott Sciarra, or something like that, one of the hosts, ends up taking a 30 yard shot on a deer that was quartering TOO pretty hard... he hits the deer mid body, then turns to the camera and...

    Vortex Diamondback 8X42

Anyone have any experience with these binocs?? I found them for $209, free shipping and have read a ton of great reviews, not to mention top notch customer service/warranty. Seems like a good deal considering the majority of places carry them for $229 and up. Thoughts?

    Gold Tip Pro Hunter's

I'm making the switch to the GT ProHunter's this year, from the ICS Camo Hunters.. and here's the question I have. Currently, I'm shooting a CRX32, @ 64-65# draw, with 27" Beman ICS camo 400's. I know the chart on GT's web site says I should go with the 5575's, but what are your opinions on...

    Anyone start shooting??

Anybody start rampin it up with the bow yet, or ever stop from last season? I took about 2 months off, but have been shooting a few times a week for the last month. I put a new Winner's Choice on my CRX back in March. So once I started shooting and got it sighted in, I figured I might as well...

    Arrow idea...

Normally, I use the 4" arrow wraps from Bohning, and fletch my Beman ICS camo 400's in an Arizona EZ fletch jig. They always come out great. My uncle always tells me "an idle mind is the devil's workshop", so I was reading yesterday and came across a thread related to guys cresting their own...
