That was my first thought, but then started rethinking it.

Definitely 2 deer in the first pic... And I agree owl in other pic... Can see tip of wing...

Owl. Fyling squirrels are about a 1/3 of that size and flatter looking. Eyes and head is about all you really see sticking off the side of a tree.

Camera has been busy last few days.

I flushed a solo hen today that was hunkered down on a crick bank. She didn’t take flight on her run up the hillside and I investigated where she was laying and there were no nest or eggs. She sat tight till I got inside 20 yards.

Hasn’t shed yet or new growth? I can’t tell….. Gut says, he’s hasn’t dropped last years rack yet…
