That was the problem. There was no "easy" way to attach the rope to the hitch!!! Should have thought things through

I was lucky to have cell reception. There are places on the property that doesn't have reception especially down in the numerous ravines.

Stitches out today, in a non weight boot for another 4 weeks.

In motorcycle racing we referred to trophies as "bringing home the hardware." Truth be told, most guys brought home hardware which looked like what you just shared. Looks uncomfortable. Hope the healing is fast and full. A true blessing it was not any worse.

Going back to the surgeon Wednesday. That will be 7 weeks without any weight bearing on the leg/foot. Then if everything looks good I'll be going to physical therapy to rehab the leg/foot to learn how to walk on it again. Thanks for asking.

My Sister in law is going through the same. She’s been dealing with this for close too 3 months. I know what she’s been going through, I’d imagine you could relate as well.

Broke my fibula a couple years ago. I couldn't believe the size difference between legs from not using it. The physical therapist were awesome and had me back in shape in no time. I got very lucky that it didn't have to be plated and pinned. I had eight inch redwings on and they said it would have been a compound fracture if I didn't have boots on. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Finally able to walk without crutches while in the walking boot. Had a few sessions of PT so far, it going to be a long road to recovery. Meanwhile, I managed to get my Euro mount done.
