glad to see the muzzy info , thats why i am here . bought a t c impact . read alot of good stuff on it . i bought 200 gr. t c shockwaves for it , and triple 7 . pland on shooting 100 gr. but t c dont list any load , ballistics or trajectory chart for that load . they dont list there 200 gr. bullet in any of there load info.,. wtf? anybody know where i can find it . thanks . h

This would be you load data - 100 yd zero

Range Velocity Drop Energ
0 2000 -0.5 1776
50 1817 1.07 1466
100 1651 0 1211
150 1499 -4.28 998
200 1362 -12.45 824

If you anticipate taking longer shots I would set it up with a 150 yd zero. Less than 3" high at 100 and around 6-7 low at 200.

Range Velocity Impact Drop
0 2000 -0.5
50 1817 2.5
100 1651 2.85
150 1499 0
200 1362 -6.74

I wish you well getting everything sighted in. Many have trouble getting the 200 gr SST or shockwave (same ) shooting well out of a 50 cal gun or when they try and bump up the velocities. Many (most) shoot the 250 gr shockwave with 100 gr and it shoots very well out of most guns and has proven to be a very effective deer load

Very little differnce in the 200 and 250 with 100 gr T7, 100 FPS slower, more retained energy and so little drop difference it would be hard to see in real world hunting situations

Range Velocity Impact Drop Energy
0 1900 -0.5 2004
50 1724 2.82 1650
100 1565 3.19 1360
150 1421 0 1121
200 1294 -7.52 930

Good luck

I've always had great results shooting the Hornady rounds out of my Savage .17. I haven't yet got my hands on the 20 grain rounds, though. From my experience, both the hollow points and BTs turn into little frag grenades when they hit something. If I were shooting at a 'yote to kill it, it would have to be inside 100 yds and a head shot. Hitting one anywhere else would increase chances of a non-fatal wound, IMO.
