Three miles south of Rio Grande with my dad. Heading out with the bows in the morning because the shotgun wasn't working and we couldn't get the muzzleloader sighted in.
I just checked outside and the wind is 14 gusting to 23 MPH and light rain. Looked at the radar and this damn storm cover over 50% of the whole USA.
Trying to reason it out as to why to even leave the house. Not much if anything will be moving, and there's only 2 days of regular gun season left for getting a buck, but there's 4 days of ML days coming up in 2 weeks.
What do you guys think on the matter?

It's looking real bad for this evening in the NW Corner of the state. I'll make the call when I get off work. They gotta eat, right?

Yep, I thought I was at least gonna get a morning hunt in today but it's already blowing hard with freezing drizzle at the farm. I'm gonna stay home lol
I just figured it out. It's now pouring rain, and from 75 yds down the hill I can hear the creek roaring above the downpour of rain and howling wind. I don't think I can safely get across the creek anyway. I'm going back to my warm bed. Plan on a evening hunt and hope for the best with deer feeding late because of this bad weather.
I hope you guys have better conditions elsewhere as there won't be many hunters out of deer taken in this weather.

Cam check yesterday was disappointing . So I didn't hunt this morning . Gonna hunt this even and hope for the best . Gonna sit in a wide fencerow that separates a winter wheat field and cornfield close to bingos bedding area
Nice morning in north central ohio. Starting to drop ice pellets, was hoping it'd be snow. Good luck guys.

Mason is sick so we quit at 8. We saw two under a feeder on a neighboring property as we drove home.
Sitting in a parking lot waiting on Klay to get out of basketball practice. Hoping the rain stays away for later. Sprinkling here now.

Still raining here and don't think has stopped much all morning. Windy and cold as hell outside. Be safe out there.
Absolutely miserable here. I'm in the home office catching up on work. I had a very uneventful morning and I'm considering goose hunting this afternoon instead of deer. That's pretty bad... lol
