2014 Rut archery buck

Well, he's done already. Took my buddy 5 weeks to get him done. Used a custom septum and lots of clay for definition in the ears and neck. Guy does fantastic work for doing it as a hobby for friends. And he charged me a great rate for getting him into spearfishing this year. So I really couldn't be anymore pleased. Only downside, which he warned me about, is it makes my other mount look horrible. In quality and size. If I had more room he'd be on a table, but I just have nowhere to put that. So this will have to do for now. I might still eventually move some stuff around and give him a wall to himself...

I'm going to have him officially scored in a couple weeks when he's done drying. Crazy though he doesn't qualify for any books even if I wanted to put him in. I just want an official score to go with him and see how close we were. I'm sure he'll end up in the high 50s as a "gross"...

Thanks fellas, yes, he is very talented. He's very much a hillbilly too lol, but he is an artist!

I didn't want a traditional off the wall mount for him since he has so much character going on. Now I can bring him off the wall and such. And when you look closely and see the eyelids and nose work, you really appreciate it.

TJ, he's not big enough to qualify. NT scores are much higher than Typ. He's a giant, but as far as scoring goes, he doesn't score well after deductions.
